The Arctic Project: The aerosol life cycle in the Arctic boundary layer and its implications for aerosol-cloud-climate interactions.

Objectives
         I.      To understand the processes controlling the aerosol life cycle to a degree whereby we with relatively simple means are able to simulate, sources, transformation and evolution, and sinks as the aerosol travels several days in the Arctic. Today, our knowledge is not sufficient for us to predict how the aerosol will evolve over time.

II.      To understand what particles that actually influence cloud properties. More specifically, to determine the relative importance between particles formed elsewhere and transported to the Arctic, and particles originating in the Arctic. Today, our knowledge is not sufficient for us to say if particles participating in cloud formation are mainly of natural or anthropogenic origin.
